PIT History
In the year of 1997 even as a usual business trip to India. Dieter von Ziegler met a University of Chicago alumnus at Chennai in India. Who at that time managed one of the fastest growing information technology services company. Attracted by the active professionalism and intelligence of the Indian information technology employees, Dieter von Ziegler decided to invite a young engineer to Switzerland to develop a software solution for his textile business. The person who set out for this task was Rafeek, a young engineer from Kerala in India. Within a short period, Rafeek managed to develop a robust textile software package. Dieter von Ziegler glared and impressed by Rafeek performance. Dieter von Ziegler proposed the suggestion of a combined establish for Information Technology services based in Europe and with offshore development facilities in India.
Rafeek proceeded to the US to equip himself for the demands of the role that he would have to assume soon. A couple of years later, he was back in Switzerland to fix a suitable time to launch business with Dieter von Ziegler. Coincidentally, around that time a friend of Dieter was on the lookout for a software solution to a requirement in the banking sector. Rafeek stepped in on Dieter's directive and provided the required solution.
In the summer of 2000, the PIT Solutions Private Limited was officially launched with its offshore development facility in Technopark, located in the first 100% literate Indian state, Kerala. Technopark provides a steady pool of creative and technically skilled people. Soon, Rafeek was joined by a couple of engineers and old college buddies - Rejin Narayanan and Thomaskutty Sebastian. Together, they laid the first bricks and contributed in their individual and collective capacities to the company's fortunes.
